Colinsburgh is a village full of history. Many thanks to Diarmid Lindsay, who used his extensive knowledge of Clan Lindsay, to help the production of the timeline below. Diarmid's principal source was "Lives of the Lindsays" Vol 1, Chapter 13, Section 1, by Lord Lindsay, 1858. The more recent history is taken from Eric Eunson's book 'Old Kilconquhar and Colinsburgh'.
